Shatta Wale in the very early hours of Saturday, May 28 announced a possible ‘Peace Concert’ between him and Samini.
Samini and Shatta Wale, two heavyweight GHANA Dancehall artistes have carried the controversial headlines for the past years with ‘music feud’ until it all got squashed this year when both artistes decided to ‘bury the hatchet’ on Fiifi Selah’s radio show (Reggae Embassy) on Pluzz 89.9fm. With pundits and fans comparing the feud between Samini and Shatta Wale as that of Beenie Man and Bounty Killer, it was a welcome news for fans of both artistes and the general public when they smoked the peace pipe on radio months ago (with a hearty conversation for at least 20 minutes over the phone).
Below was what Shatta Wale tweeted from his official Twitter account.
Samini is yet to respond to the tweet though. But could both artistes be planning this concert behind the scenes? Well, it’s a good move for both in championing the peace campaign in Ghana as the Nation prepares to go for the polls in November. It would go a long way to positively influence society with both artistes and their respective fans ‘hoisting the peace flag’.
BeenieWords would follow keenly on this development and keep you posted.
